MENUS
We currently offer one menu per service. From Thursday – Saturday we serve a four course at lunch and a ten course at dinner. Lunch is £54.00 per person and dinner is £120.00 per person. For our ‘Sunday Service’ we serve a different two course menu, at £45,00 per person, running right through the day.
From Thursday to Saturday, our lunchtime service is strictly a 12.00pm arrival and dinner is 7.00pm. Food is served roughly 40 minutes later. Our bar is open from 11.45am each day, all day, for drinks should you wish to enjoy a drink in the bar first. A discretionary service charge of 12.5% is added to all restaurant bills.
Sunday Service runs from 12.00pm with our last sitting at 6.00pm. We offer a two course menu, with extra sides. Due to the style of the menu we don’t offer a separate one for allergies or dietary needs except for a coeliac diet, however, there are options available. Please see the sample menu for an example.
We serve bar snacks in our bar area on a Thursday – Sunday from 12.00pm until 8.00pm and do not take reservations.
CHILDREN
We are sorry but given the length of menu and the style of food our restaurant is not suitable for younger children. We don’t therefore allow children under 12 in the restaurant in the evening. We do allow children over the age of 7 at lunchtime. We don’t offer an alternative menu to the full three course offering therefore the set menu will be charged in full. This also applies on a Sunday. We do not have highchairs, nor are you able to bring your own.
DOGS
Dogs are welcome outside and in the bar area, where we serve a selection of bar snacks throughout the day, but not in the restaurant (unless they are assistance dogs). We don’t serve our restaurant menu in the bar area.
ALLERGIES
If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, such as coeliac or vegetarian diet, please make a note when booking. Whilst we work tirelessly to keep our food preparation area clean, we do prepare other allergens in the space so cannot ever completely guarantee an allergen free environment. Whilst we can cater for allergies and serious dietary requirements, we will need 24 hours’ notice. We do not cater for dislikes.
SEATING
Our largest table seats six people. Larger groups, of up to 34, are able to book the whole restaurant on an exclusive use basis, please email to enquire about this.
RESERVATIONS
We only release two month’s worth of reservations at a time. These will be released on the 1st of every month. For example, we will release November’s bookings on the 1st September.
CAR PARKING
We don’t have our own car park at Heft but there is plenty of parking around the village. We politely ask that you respect our neighbours and don’t block access. We also ask that you refrain from parking directly in front of our next-door neighbour’s house, Crown Cottage. Please allow enough time to arrive in time for your reservation. Cars can be parked all the way up the hill, past the pub, on the right hand side.
CANCELLATIONS
We are a small, independent, family run business and therefore take card details for every diner. Bookings can be cancelled, for whatever reason, up to 7 days before your booking. After that point, up until 72 hours before, we will charge 50% of the cost of the meal unless we can re-let the table. Due to the nature of our menu, all cancellations made less than 72 hours before the arrival time will be charged in full unless we re-let the table. Bookings can be cancelled online or via email, we do not accept cancellations via social media. Should you arrive with less people than your table is booked for, we reserve the right to charge for the original amount booked and urge you to contact us in advance via email.
